Te Hsin Village Comminuty introduction
One. History
In ancient times, Te Hsin Village used to be called 15-Plough. Plough is a measure of land area and one plough stands for 5 Chias'of land available for farming.15-Plough stands for 75 Chias' of lands available for the use of early immigrants, therefore, the village got its name 15-Plough.During the Japanese rule of Taiwan, Te Hsin was placed under jurisdiction of Hsien Hsi Village, Chang Hua Department, Tai Chung State.

East: bounded by Ho Mei Town, Hao Hsiu Li on the east
West: bounded by Yu Pu, Hsien Hsi and Ting Chuang on the west
South: bounded by Ting Li on the south
North: bounded by Chuang Chou Village and Tseng's Villages, Shen Kang on the north

Four. Natural and humanistic environments
With a population of 1480 people, 769 males and 711 females, the villages is divided into 9 neighborhoods with most of the villagers having the surname of Chen, Lin, Hsu and Tseng.In early days, the villagers mostly lived on agriculture with major produces including rice, garlic, pea, sweet potato, partridge, egg and mushroom. And, the village has witnessed rapid development of textile, tape and plastic injection in recent years. In early days of the villages, due to different political beliefs, villagers held religious ceremonies in two different places: Te Hsin Altar and Te Hsin Place (Prince place), which were combined into Te Hsin Place more than 20 years ago through negotiation of old people in the village. At the intersection of Te Hsin Village with Ho Mei and Shen Kang on the northeast is a 100 hundred- year -old banyan that provides a natural place for the villages to rest and chat. Moreover, near the tree stands a Wan Shan Tang, which attracted so many people from across Taiwan to draw lots in the early days that Wan Shan Tang, seemed to be a night less city.
